Back from Paradise

As usual going through a period of re-adjustment here after returning from Kauai. Strange that in many ways there are similarities between Kauai and Ireland, it's just that Ireland is 25degrees cooler!

A successful completion of the Huna training for the latest 2 apprentices. They both managed to survive the heat and the arduous treks to the sacred places, the intensity of the heiaus and the magic of their naming ceremony which is always a potent moment. The gods were with us on this trip and some new and unexpected Hawaiians turned up to add input to the proceedings as well as my good friends from before, one of whom is Leilani Kaleiohi who graced us with her presence and her incredible chanting. It is always good to re-connect with the island and I am grateful that I managed to escape unscathed this time as she has a habit of churning up 'old stuff' or giving me a scar or two to remember her by. She was obviously in gentle mood this time although as strongly potent as ever.
