Lomilomi is the traditional art of Hawaiian massage.

There are many styles, but the most popular today consists of gentle, graceful, rhythmic, light or deep massage over the body.

Unlike conventional massage, LomiLomi strokes are performed with the skilled use of the forearms. Rolling actions with varying degrees of pressure effectively ease out areas of tension, and combined with long sweeping strokes over larger areas of the body, ensure a sense of deep connectedness and wholeness in the client.

The LomiLomi massage also has an added advantage of stimulating and moving the life energy or 'mana'.

The combination of all these effects is a deeply relaxing and transformative experience.

The massage removes toxic waste, tension, pain and fatigue and replaces them with positive energy, increased circulation and improved muscle tone.

The massage is circulatory in nature in that it moves blood, lymph and interstitial fluids as opposed to working pressure points for example.

It is a system of deep communication using biomechanical and energetic waves to stimulate the cells to heal and regenerate. Energetic techniques that coordinate breath and spirit are integrated into the manual procedure.
