Aloha Kenn, you old dog you,

Welp, now don't run away from your comments again!

"I think the name "Huna" has been so maligned by Serge, Tad, Lani, and others that we should do away with the term and go
back to what MFL intended... to uncover and preserve the "ancient magic.""

I wonder what Max would say about that? Oh, he already did:

-= Don't Go Back =-

One thing stands out clearly, and that is that our progress into
full knowledge of Huna is NOT to be made by going BACK, and by
going back alone.

Most of those that gave up Huna do so to make a return to
some earlier belief or way of prayer, or to go back to the latest
of the long parade of brilliant promises, in the hope that one has
at last been found that will live up its verbal or printed claims.

We of the HRA go back only to pick up the sources and the
origins. The basics upon which to build into the future. We see
that the old is not enough, so we also GO FORWARD.

We seek no more Masters.

Instead we listen to the quiet voices of our physicists,
mathematicians and advanced students of the materials of the
psycho-religious field.

Say, I'm sure you're right, Dr. E. Otha Wingo, a fine man, inherited the HRA which he rechartered as the HRI.

Dolly Ware inherited all or most of Max Huna materials, including the great TMHG altar and its magical "portrait of Trees" by Kahuna `o Huna Elizabeth Kingsley-Tarpey.

And I'm sure you must be so right about me!

Just one thing: How does it happen that HRI has a copy in a folder thre of a letter Max Freedom Long sent me encourageing me to found Huna as a community based religion?

Maybe Vince hasn't gone throough the file I sent them twenty years ago of many of Max's letters to me?

But anywhay Kenn, we're all holding our collective breaths waiting for you to explain that stuff.

1. Dolly Ware's having the TMHG altar and the magical painting.
2. HRI's having a copy of a letter Max sent me encouraging me to found the Huna Heiau Church.

Aloha,

Lani
