"But he didn't blow his brains out. It was, as is much in Huna, a miracle. Nothing was blown "out" save his presense here." -- Thomas "Lani" Stucker

According to the police report he did blow his brains out. He put a shotgun in his mouth and... it was messy. I won't go into detail, but if you like to ferret out the truth like I do, you should give this one a look.

A good rule of thumb is, "If 'Lani' says it, it ain't so."

Like most serious students of Huna, I was puzzled by this Huna Paradox. But Max was human, after all. He "emphatically endorsed" the philosophy of Euthanasia all along.

So, when his time was drawing near, he practiced what he preached. He was in his eighties, suffering from constant, unbearable pain. I think he had bone cancer.

He tried to kill himself earlier the same year by taking an overdose of sleeping pills. It obviously didn't work, and I think that's why (since we're speculating on other's motives here) he chose a guaranteed method.

Huna teaches us how to choose our destiny, and that's certainly what Max did.
