I like the amibiguity in your response here in the sense that you say all disease "can" be created by the unihipili but implying that there are other causes of illness. I like that intellectual and ideological flexibility

That sounds like a good simple healing strategy.

Well that may be so but what about what in therapy terms is referred to as "secondary gain" a situation in which at an unconscious level there is a perceived value in the illness which is greater than the value of being well. In this case the infusions would be actively resisted….
On the other hand is of course the probable involvement of the liver and in Polarity terms what we call the fire energy system, this governs the fire energy center (located over the pancreas) stomach, pancreas, liver, vision and general vitality. Secondary to that is the earth system, which governs our earth energy center (located at the base of the spine nr the coccyx) intestines, food absorption/assimilation, the bones and sweet tasting foods)
In general in Polarity we don't use infusions of energy or mana but instead seek to discover where the flow of mana is blocked in the body and release that energy so that it can re-establish good health.
When I treat Diabetes it's a combined approach. Working Fire and Earth, checking for secondary gain. Looking at beliefs and values concerning the illness in the uhane. So that there are no conscious beliefs in the way of healing (like the doctors say Diabetes is incurable).
Trying not to make this a long essay here.
