Yes, Huna Research, Inc./The Huna Fellowship,
the organization founded by Max Freedom Long in
1945 registered the word Huna as an international
trademark. Huna (the Hawaiian word for "secret"
was the word chosen by Max to describe the psycho-
logical/religiuos methods used by the Kahuna. Max
was so successful in recovering and synthesizing a
practical system of psychology and magic that the
word Huna(tm) has become synonymous with Kahuna
wisdom even in the islands where students of Max's
work now claim to be Kahuna.
Most people don't know this since we do no
adertising and do not persue trademark violations.
That would not be Huna. It is more important to
help people help themselves and make the world a
better place in Huna Light (I Ke La'a Kea!)
