: HUNA
: We can be guided by people and one can understand that people like to have masters who teach, and we tend to find those masters who seem to fulfill our dreams, and still: being connected to that "Intelligence" which we can feel, hear in ourselves, is the answer to all our questions, and the support to all our undertakings.
: So, there is no one Huna. I was myself once very frustrated by the fact that, during my visits in Hawaii, no Hawaiian knew about
: those three selves(max freedom long), in fact max was definitely wrong in his naming
: aumakua is not the high self in Hawaii. But it doesn't matter, his teachings are
: interesting, except for the fact that it has little to do with Hawaiian teachings. In Hawaii many Kahuna spread rumors about each other, deny each others teachings, and even fight each other, so if you're looking for a paradise-teaching in Hawaii, be prepared for some nice "surprises".
: I was very frustrated and confused in the beginning, until I found out that Hawaii
: IS a very special place, where one can learn much about being connected to nature, life, the elements and yes: God.
: In my experience everything is alive, like rocks, the clouds, the mountains, a road, the sea, and one can really talk to them and they talk to you, even places call you, to come to them and have important experiences. Nature teaches you to go out of the way , that is, to let go many beliefs and ideas that hinder to be in contact with that one source(which has many different manifestations).
: Certainly one can experience that everywhere, but in Hawaii it's easier and
: so teachers do help, but eventually one can drop them and be alarmed when teachers (or books) promise you to fulfill your dreams. Max Freedom Long's method to get what you want works and it can really confuse you because it doesn't work, and then you're trapped, because you go like: oops !, I have to read another book and I have to go to another seminar,
: "deadendstreet yeah!" like The Kinks sang in the sixties.
: Just go, for instance, to pu'u onua o honaunau (big island), be there at least till half an hour after sunset and experience the most beautiful place in the world, the weather and the whole scenery will reflect your mood, and hidden state and remembers you what to pay attention to next in your life.
: And then there is the Spirit of Aloha: people are very nice, friendly, and sometimes they reveal there way of life, if you're modest enough to hear what they say, then you know that everything is alive, that there is no difference between religion and your "normal" life, and that you can certainly ask the rain to stop or to pour, if you align yourself, if you (with all your unnatural wishes) go out of the way. You are not in control, not with Huna techniques, not with
: Max Freedom Long methods, not with Serge King's/Tad James/Papa Henry's (etc. etc.) techniques.
: All we have to do is: NOTHING. The Chinese call it : wei wu wei: act by not acting.
: That doesn't mean that we get what we want, and it certainly doesn't mean
: that we can be lazy, it means that we let go of many of our ideas that tell us we are in charge and be ready for surprises, things you never ever could have imagined (good for me that I didn't plan my life with NLP/Huna/magical-techniques).
: Actually I wanted to share a good URL, but I got inspired to write the above and here is the URL: http://www.inmotionmagazine.com/kekuni.html
: It's very interesting what kekuni tells us there,

George, I couldn't agree more. I've studied NLP, Timeline and Huna through 'level three' with Tad, may spirit bless him, and finally realised that what was happening was that through his 'teaching', I was remembering what I already know.
'Cooked down', what this amounts to is Pay Attention and Keep Your Balance. No matter what the source, I believe that this is what any true teaching of the Light is really about - that and regaining a deep and true understanding of what energy
really is [Love} and how it works when we {ego - Uhane] get out of the way. Like yourself, I haven't planned my life with or around NLP/Huna, but I use Huna almost every day in my life. Also, you are very correct in your assertion that
Hawaii is a special place - especially Pu'u Onua O Honaunau. I've found it so special that I'm moving to the Honaunau area as soon as possible, having visited the place at least a dozen times over the past ten years. Ever been there in the
middle of the night - say 2 or 3 AM? Check it out.
Thanks for the URL - I'll check IT out.
