First of all, let me say that I know others who have benefitted from Serge's teachings. I am not
maligning his teachings. As others have said, whatever works for any individual is right for them.
I believe that Serge's teachings can have great value for MANY people.
My strictly personal reaction to him is negative - I feel that he is into money and personal power to
a great degree. That does not necessarily negate his material. There are many who agree with me, and
many who don't, and that's fine.
My main point is that the HAWAIIAN PEOPLE say, and rightfully so, I feel, that what he teaches did NOT
come from their elders. And they are in a position to know that. They are only saying that he does
not represent them or the Kanaka Maoli culture.
I made ABSOLUTELY no statements claiming that "mine" is the only true "Hawaiian religion." I think if
you go back and re-read what I said that you would understand that I could never make such a claim, since
I am NOT Hawaiian.
I am pointing out that Serge is NOT Hawaiian either (by birth or culture); he is from Malibu, California.
The native Hawaiians are VERY sensitive about this issue, and trying to bring a different viewpoint to
discussion.
I said at the beginning that I appologize for offending anybody, and I meant that. I still believe that it
is worth knowing the truth from the viewpoint of the Hawaiian community.
Aloha pumehana,
