Following some Huna trainings in Warszawa, I, with some other physicians, have come to value old Hawaiian knowledge for its cultural enrichment.

I write about assisting people who are searching for orientation and meaning.

In a healthy spiritual relationship, a mentor learns to become a better mentor. A student learns to become a mentor. This is based on expressing love and if it is reduced to a financial enterprise, it becomes senseless.

If I want to pass on a religious message or some other truth that is important for fulfilling human existence, then either I apply it to a specific commitment (become a mentor), or I give it freely and directly to whoever wants it.

Many "esoteric" seminars promise "enhancement of consciousness", "past-life meditation", "spiritual initiations" and "esoteric healing" - much of which simply lacks meaning and any relevence to a human life of human relationships.

Abuse starts when a trainer demands payment for a promise to inspire spiritual development. Many seminars abuse needy people who struggle to find meaning in life. This is self-contradictory and certainly not typical of Hawaiian culture.

We are fortunate to have met some trainers who teach Huna with a humble attitude of service, in which they offer concrete and therefore verifiable assistance.
