"How does the Huna Heiau celebrate the day your Lord and Savior, Max Freedom Long, blew his brains out with a shotgun?
Is this your religion's equivalent of the crucifiction?
Namaste
Joel"
Thanks for asking Joel, and Namaste yourself, and unlike you, I mean it! : )
So it bothers you that Max took responsibility for his existence here?
He had a job to do.
He attempted to alter Huna from the HRA into an effective FHF.
He wasn't successful. There was no more Path for him. One of his wives, Louise, was dead.
But he didn't blow his brains out. It was, as is much in Huna, a miracle. Nothing was blown "out" save his presense here.
The third Huna Holiday was set up by him, to remember him, and all the Huna Kupuna on. Late each October.
And thank you for asking.
Aloha, a hui hou,
