Aloha kakou,

"...However I
have seen some interesting stuff on the firewalk
over here on TV (in England)where four highly experienced
personal growth as well as more shamanically oriented
firewalkers found an absolute limit on the distance they could walk. I cant rememeber the
actual distance but none could go beyond it. Boy were they shocked!
Interesting though."

Yes, that was done by one of the two kumu which the Poe Aumakua put e ho`ailono aku upon. He's a great man, John Shango.

His failure to walk the entire distance is HIGHLY interesting, since my kumu's kumu, Dr. William Tufts Brigham walked over a much greater distance, and on a hotter surface, I believe.

Last time I looked, that story with photos was on his website: shangofire.com

Think about it you little pagan healer: what happened to all the pagan cultures when they were encountered by the western sketpics. All the medicine went away. Their Kahunas and Medicine Men et al, essentially became less powerful or powerless in the face of western disbelief. Why?

In the essay by Kahuna `o Huna Nui Max Freedom Long I posted on this thread, he says that one must not tell another of one's prayer. Why?

Who was in charge of the Firewalk? The priests of the fire? No. TV skeptics were in charge. They weren't even neutral.

When the sentience of the fire was awakened, the fire took its cue from the skeptics, not the priests.

Why? The Priests didn't recognize what was happening. It is like all the experiences of westerners in vital pagan conquests.

John Shango and the other priests of the fire there thought they were being polite. Instead, they were being ruined.

The greatest Dowser we ever had was Vern Cameron. And he would regurarily fail (but not always) when he was forced to put on "demonstrations" in front of skeptics (rather than haumana).

Reality is like a slow putty. It tends to conform to a person's expectations.

Phil, skeptics live in a different world from us. A small shriveled one. But it is very hard made, and if you enter into that world, your magic will fail, for the most part, too.

Healers can do demonstrations in front of people who would want to believe, if only they could. But the healers fail when confronted by pure skeptisism.

A Hui Hou,

Lani

So (and still *not* talking about healing fire here) it seems that
if you want to change your beliefs through firewalking you can but
there are faster and quicker ways to alter beliefs. There is some wonderful
belief change work from Bandler and Dilts in the
NLP world. Even a few neat ones used in old Hawaii
..literally 'eating' old and restricting thought forms..

A hui Hou
Phil
