Dreams

Aloha,

DREAMS

I awakened this morning gently here, but in a hectic way from the Dreamworld, which is our natural habitat.

In the dream, the Ki`i Nui of which I have stewardship had been changed into a Calumet Sacred Pipe and was in a Sioux Pipe Bag.

Everything of importance to me was in my car, which had broken down, and while I looked for help, everything was stolen.

I have learned over the years t\never to open my eyes when I wake up in the middle of a dream in the morning. You can do that too.

I could feel my heart pounding, and the fear and worry I still contained.

I have also learned over the years that which state we wake up from our dreams in the morning control the rest of our waking day.

Therefore I have also understood that I can never allow a dream to end in the way it had. Keeping my eyes closed in the morning when I awaken is very beneficial to any decision to reenter the dream. Although I have done it once I have opened my eyes, even moved, but it is harder.

I reentered the dream. As always, when I was in the dream again, I was aware of myself dreaming-the lucid dream.

So I looked around and discovered where I had "hidden" the items that I needed not to be stolen.

I recovered them, and awoke again.

This time my mood was entirely different! I was calm, expectant and positive.

I remember a little while ago when I awoke from a dream where four others in a parking lot were assaulting me. There was nothing to do really, except die, so I awoke.

I noticed that I really felt like a loser.

So I reentered the dream, started a car and ran all of them over!

I awoke in a completely different state of mind than I had had only a minute or two ago!

You can do this too.

There are three vital things to remember about our dreams.

The first thing is, as Gulipilil said in that wonderful movie, "Last Wave" when he's asked by Richard Chamberlain what a dream is, and he answers, "A dream is the shadow of something real."

So dreams can be real. Many times it is how we can be taught things.

Two, as such we are as responsible for what we do in dreams. We can NOT do ANYTHING in a dream, which we would not do here, and be "safe". I would NEVER kill anything nor anyone in a dream who I wasn't in deadly combat with. Yet as a Kahuna Koa (Exorcist) I have had many hostiles experiences here as I was defending someone. And after a time, these kinds of experiences entered my dreams. Taught me things.

And thirdly, NEVER let a dream end for you in a way that discourages, or frightens you or makes you sad. NEVER!

If you awaken from a dream, and remember what is going on, and wouldn't like it if it was happening in the "real" world to you, then go back into the dream and change its ending.

There isn't a technique to reenter a dream, other than what I have already said. Except that it is a simple doing and not a valiant attempt at "willing" yourself back into it.

You merely allow yourself to simply and easily slide back into the physical comfort of the Dreamworld.

Aloha,

Lani
