: Aloha

I've been in Huna since 1962. It exists.

I have been an ordained Kahuna of Huna since 1968.

We exist too. Max Freedom Long made us. A "Kahuna" is simply a Priest or Minister. "Kahuna" is the word used in Huna for its Priests or Ministers. Same as you? A "Kahunaao" is a Preacher. Same with you?

But I can understand your pain and confusion.

HUNA is NOT Hawaiian. No more than the Hawaiian is really Tahitian. Just a
development of it. As
Huna is a western religion, but a scion or grafting between the New
Thought religious movement of
the mid 19th centaury (along with such religions as Religious Science
and Unity, for example) and
the Kahuna Ho`mana of the Firewalk, who transfered ho`omana into Dr.
William Tufts Brigham's
hands, and adopted him (ho`okama not hanei) because of his e ho`oailono aku. He in turn adopted and was
the Kumu Huna of Max
Freedom Long, who trained and adopted Otha Wingo, Dolly Ware and myself
(amongst others).

HUNA isn't Hawaiian, but it exists. And it was made in Hawaii. Hawaiian
is not Tahitian, but it
springs from it.

We are calabash relatives, not blood relatives.
